LAUREL, Miss. — Roberts Creative, a multi-media ad agency located in downtown Laurel, Miss., has welcomed two new employees to its innovative staff. Crystal Gordon and Zac Freundt are joining our network as distinguished and experienced Graphic Designers and Web Developers. Gordon and Freundt will be working to help build campaigns to promote businesses and individuals over print, radio, television and web media.

At Roberts Creative, Freundt utilizes his talent and challenges his creativity as an experienced designer and web developer. Freundt a 23-year-old University of Southern Mississippi graduate, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design in 2011. Freundt’s major strengths include design, illustration, web development, CSS, custom WordPress themes, character design, vector art, and marketing and promotional advertising. He also has experience and training in mass communication production, motion graphics, and theatre set design.

Freundt is also a graphic novel enthusiast and maintains an exclusive Webcomic collective called Mediocre Militia, a venue where artist are invited to display their work. Roberts

Creative Group is excited to welcome Freundt and believes he will be a valuable asset to the diverse company.

Crystal Gordon is also joining the Roberts Creative team as an experienced web developer and designer. Gordon is a 26-year-old from Picayune, Miss and a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design in 2011.

Gordon has experience in theater tech including costume and set design and has found  working with textiles, printmaking, and woodworking something she thoroughly enjoys. She has many strengths and talents and we are excited to be able to utilize and showcase those here at Roberts Creative. Gordon is highly skilled in vector art, illustration, typography, and web design/CSS. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Roberts Creative team.

Continue Reading This Post]]> How amazing is it that a company that was valued at 30 million dollars just over a year ago, grows to be valued at 1 billion the very next year? Not only valued, but purchased by another company with cash… And that company that paid cash was started the exact same way. Pulled directly from their website: Instagram is ” A fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family. ” Wait ,that’s it…? Yup that-is-it! Why so much value? Well, from my perspective it should speak to every marketer/advertiser with a resounding ” It’s about the value of relational marketing!” Not that this is news to all but we should all take note that we have truly entered a new era in marketing and advertising.

Another little tidbit, this company that was purchased for 1 billion dollars was Instagram. Which is wild because as of today an issue of the New York Times is currently valued at 967 Million which is somewhere close to 100 years old.

A day to truly remember for all of us in the Advertising /  Marketing / Design world!

Continue Reading This Post]]>         What do you do on a normal Friday lunch hour? I’m going to guess you probably aren’t rounding up co-workers for a nice, healthy game of… space tag. Well, lucky us, we had the privilege to do just that a few weeks back. As “research/ development” for our new job, we decided to take our Friday lunch hour and travel to the nearest and coolest Space Tag facility, in Ellisville, MS. We needed action photos and a few other photos in general (this is me being serious), but we also took the opportunity for a fun time, of course. After all, who can pass up a game of space tag? Lasers, lights, Star Wars music, good food, and the complete satisfaction of a girls vs. guys competition (which the girls dominated, by the way). The owners are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and the atmosphere was extremely clean and professional. We were all extremely impressed and so excited to hear that within the next year they are adding an indoor go cart track! Absolutely cannot wait to go back for more fun, I mean, research. I would recommend this place to anyone, of any age.

Basically, what I’m saying is, you need to find a day and take your lunch break at Space Tag, it could possibly change your life. Well, at least put a little pep in your step for the rest of the day.

LAUREL, Miss. — Roberts Creative, a multi-media ad agency located in downtown Laurel,
Miss., has welcomed two new employees to its growing staff. Brooke Cole Davis and Matt
Flowers, both residents of Laurel, will be working to create campaigns to promote businesses
and individuals over print, radio, television and web media.

In addition to being the new copy writer/executive assistant for Roberts Creative Group, Davis is
also a student and wife, and she is ecstatic about her current residency in the Historic District of
Downtown Laurel. Davis is a 2007 graduate of Taylorsville High School and currently an
English licensure major at The University of Southern Mississippi. She hopes to bring her love
of people and skill of writing to the present and future clients of Roberts Creative.

Local businessman Flowers has joined Roberts Creative Group as the new account executive.
Flowers has known Eric Roberts, owner of Roberts Creative Group, and been involved in the
behind the scenes work of this business for many years. Flowers has his own experience with
marketing, as he has owned and managed two successful local restaurants for the past 14 years.
He says that his experience in the restaurant business has taught him many aspects of what works
and doesn’t work in marketing. He, along with the other Roberts Creative Group staff, is looking
forward to partnering with other growing companies to help create great marketing campaigns.

“Honestly, this [Robert’s Creative Group] is just a good fit for any entrepreneur that wants to
connect himself with successful business relationships,” said Flowers. He is husband to Amy
Flowers and the father of two boys.

Roberts, a Laurel native, opened Roberts Creative in fall 2007. After working in the film
industry, for five years, Roberts returned to his hometown to start his business, renovating an old
warehouse next to the Eastman-Gardiner Building into a modern studio office. For more

Continue Reading This Post]]> We aren’t just computer savy, lean mean design/brand creating machines here at RCG. We are also, quite stylish. This morning as we showed up at work and realized that most of the crew was sporting the black and white stripes, a photoshoot was quickly in session. It was definitely my idea, and the guys weren’t extremely excited about it but as you can tell it didn’t take much for them to “get into character”. Nothing like a little cool breeze and photoshoot first thing in the morning to get those creative juices flowing.
